The American Translators Association, in cooperation with the International Federation of Translators, will host the FIT XIX World Congress, August 1-4 in San Francisco. The FIT Congress is a unique opportunity for translators, interpreters, terminologists, and industry professionals from all over the world to network and attend educational sessions on topical issues. The theme of this year's Congress is "Bridging-Cultures."

There will be a full program of educational sessions, but the strength of the FIT Congress is international networking as the event is expected to draw more than 800 attendees from around the world. ATA was chosen to host the FIT XIX World Congress at the XVIII Congress in Shanghai in 2008 and this will be the first time the triennial event is being held in the United States.

Registration for the FIT Congress is now open and information on registration, exhibiting, and sponsorships can be found at www dot fit2011 dot org.
